Support blocks were crumbling in a crawlspace in Simpson, IL, and this was causing the floors in the house to sink. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This will restore peace of mind for years to come!

These joists needed to be addressed before anything, so the property owner gave Woods Basement Systems a call. A Woods team installed several Smart Jacks, each capable of supporting 60,000 pounds, underneath the floor joists to lift and support them. 

A crawlspace in Beckemeyer, Illinois, needed some stabilization work done. The old supports were starting to fail, and substitute supports can be seen. These are not adequate and need to be replaced with steel piers. Woods came out and did just that. The SmartJack system consists of custom-cut steel beams. They are placed in galvanized fill to equally distribute the weight of the building. They can be tightened over time. This allows maintenance to be done as the ground continues to shift without requiring another costly install. With this install in place, this crawlspace will remain stable for many years to come.
