A crawlspace in Sorento, IL, was unstable and in need of structural support. This needed to be addressed, so the homeowner decided to give Woods a call. To solve this issue, SmartJack™ was installed. This system will help support and distribute the weight of the home and can be tightened over time. With this system in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their crawlspace is safe to use. 

Water getting into crawlspaces can lead to big messes and makes them completely unusable for storage. Betty and David B. of Chatham B. knew this all too well so they called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended encapsulating the crawlspace.

As part of the crawlspace encapsulation system, Woods installed CleanSpace Vapor Barrier throughout the crawlspace. It's a durable, thick plastic liner that will keep moisture from getting into the crawlspace.

Betty and David B. have the peace of mind that they can use their crawlspace for storage and their belongings will stay dry.

David and Betty B. of Chatham, IL had traditional metal window wells. Over the years, they'd rust and were doing nothing to keep dirt out of the windows or increase the light in their basement, as seen in the photo. They called Woods Basement Systems to replace them.

Woods installed SunHouse Window Wells. They are made of reinforced plastic that won't rust or deteriorate and the the shape and white vinyl base of the wells bring more light into the home and keep dirt and pests out. Their clear covers also prevents any precipitation or lawn debris from getting into the window well, as shown in the picture.

Betty and David B. love the way their new window wells look and are enjoying all of the extra light in their basement.

Encapsulated crawlspaces are fantastic for keep water and moisture out of the crawlspace but unforeseen plugging leaks can fill up an encapsulated crawlspace and create major damage. Woods Basement Systems understands that problems with plumbing may arise, so when Woods encapsulated Betty and David B.'s Chatham, IL crawlspace, they installed a SmartDrain.

The SmartDrain installs perfectly with the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, to create an air tight seal. It collects any water that gets into the encapsulated crawlspace from a plumbing issue and drains it down to a bed of gravel that leads to a dry well that will allow the water to seep into the soil below the crawlspace. It is equipped with a WaterWatch Alarm that will alert the homeowner when water is being collected in the drain so the homeowner knows there's an issue before it turns into a much bigger problem.

Moisture seeped into the crawl space of Amy B.’s Chatham, IL home with each rain. The flimsy, thin plastic liner she had was bunching and doing little to nothing to keep moisture out. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick, durable plastic moisture barrier that is secured over the walls and floors to seal out moisture. CleanSpace is mold resistant and maximizes available light throughout the crawlspace due to its bright white color.
