A crawlspace in Chrisman, Illinois, had some stability issues. Woods came out and installed the SmartJack System to give the floor joists increased support. This system consists of custom cut steel beams. They are placed in galvanized fill to equally distribute the weight of the building and can be tightened over time. This allows maintenance to be done as the ground continues to shift without requiring another costly install. With these piers installed, the homeowners no longer have to worry about the stability of their crawlspace.
This building in Hoopeston, Illinois has bowing walls which the occupants attempted to repair using caulk which does not fix a bowing wall problem, it merely covers it until it gets worse. Woods Basement Systems diagnosed the bowing walls and installed an anchor system to not only stop the walls from bowing in further but also to return the walls to their original shape.
Henning, Illinois homeowner Jacob was concerned about cracks in his block foundation. The horizontal and stair-step cracks were an indicator of bowing walls. System Design Specialist Greg B. inspected the foundation and designed a solution.
Jeremy R., Foreman, and his crew installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors. These anchors work to restore the foundation walls to their original postion and provide permanent support for the foundation.
Support blocks in a Marshall, IL crawlspace were failing, as they were sinking into the ground. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This crawlspace will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
A home in Marshall, Illinois, had a foundation that was starting to show signs of settlement. This happens when ground soils heat up and shrink, or when heavy rains erode away the ground soils. To address this issue, Woods came out and installed the Push Pier System to stabilize the foundation. These will permanently stabilize the foundation, and in many cases, lift it back toward its original position. These can also close cracks and improve the operation of windows and doors. This is the least risky solution when the soil conditions are unknown. There is minimal disturbance from installation; installing them is a quick process and will solve the problem once and for all!
