A basement in Saint Peters, Missouri was showing signs of foundation failure. Cracks starting to appear on the walls needed addressed to prevent the problem from getting worse. To fix this issue, Woods came out and installed the GeoLock Wall Anchor System. This system consists of steel plates that are attached directly to the unsupported wall. Heavy-duty steel anchors are then buried some ways away from the home, are are connected to the plates via cables. This system can be tightened over time, closing current and future cracks. Thanks to this install, these homeowners will have a safe and secure home for years to come!
A basement in Saint Peters, Missouri, needed some stabilization to correct floor supports that were starting to fail. Woods came in and installed the SmartJack System to rectify this issue. This system consists of custom-cut steel beams. They are placed in galvanized fill to equally distribute the weight of the building. They can be tightened over time. This allows maintenance to be done as the ground continues to shift without requiring another costly install. With these supports in place, this basement is sure to stay safe and stable for many years to come.
Wall Anchors were installed in this home to keep it from bowing in. Once they were installed, the owner wanted the basement finished, so he got EverLast Perimeter Wall with white trim and anchor covers to complete his finished basement.
External soil pressure can cause damage to walls and cause them to fail. Gary F.’s retaining wall behind his Chesterfield, MO home was bowing inward and cracked. He was worried that it might collapse and he’d not only have to replace the wall but the deck it was supporting so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract soil pressure by connecting steel wall plates to earth anchors embedded in the yard using galvanized steel anchor rods which stabilizes the wall. Woods also straightened the wall immediately by excavating behind the wall and tightening the anchors. Wall plate covers as shown in the picture can also be included to make wall plates more aesthetically pleasing.
Lisa N was concerned when she noticed large cracks in her basement walls, so she decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Jeremy K was able to come up with a solution to the problem.
Foreman Jeremy R installed PowerBraces, as shown above, along with piers to stablize the sinking garage. The walls and the garage are now stable.
