Mike E was concerned about the sinking floors in his basement. So, he decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Jeremy R was able to come up with a solution to the problem.
Foreman Jose L installed a Push Pier, shown above, in Mike’s basement. The Push Pier will be driven into a stable level of soil. The device will support the section of the house that is sinking, and work to raise it back to its original level.
This St. Peters, Missouri home was showing tell-tale signs of settling: sticking doors and windows and cracks in the cieling, just to name a few. The homeowner called Woods Basement Systems for help, and a team installed several Push Piers underneath the foundation in order to lift and level it. These supports will remain for support for the life of the structure.
A foundation was settling in Saint Peters, MO, causing cracks to appear near the doorframe. To solve this issue, the Push Pier System was installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation, raise it back up to its original position, and keep it in place. The cracks will also be closed, and the functions of the windows and doors will be improved. This will restore peace of mind for years to come!
This home in St. Peters, MO. had previously hired Woods Basement Systems to install wall anchors to protect the foundation walls from cracking and bowing inward. These wall anchors work by pulling an interior plate toward an anchor buried outside. This pulling force supports the wall permanently and can be used to straighten walls that have become bent inward in the middle.
Recently, Mike B. from Woods Basement Systems visited this home to inspect the waterproofing and wall anchor systems. Maintenance inspections like this would offer the opportunity to tighten the wall anchor systems to help futher straighten the wall if needed. While that wasn't required during this check, Mike B. was able to add covers to the low profile wall anchor plates. These plates are thin enough to be hidden behind finished walls or furniture items. In this case, since neither were present, a simple cover was installed that would hide the unsightly plate from view but still offer access to maintenance crews if needed.
During his routine maintenance inspection, Mike B. was still able to accomodate the requests of the homeowners and live up to the Woods Basement Systems team's goal; To ensure every customer has a remarkable experience.
A foundation was cracking in a basement in Saint Peters, MO, and the cracks were leaking water when it rained. To solve these issues, the PowerBrace System was installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and eliminate any further inward movement. This will also reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage. Additionally, the CleanSpace Basement Wall System was installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls. The white color will also brighten the basement, reflecting the light. Any wall leaks will also be drained down to the WaterGuard System, which will take this water to the sump pump to be pumped out of the house. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain stable, dry, and clean for years to come!
