To solve the issue of humidity, CleanSpace™ was used. This liner will keep all outside elements out. Next, PowerBrace™ was used to stabilize the walls. These custom-fit and zinc-plated steel beams can be adjusted over time. With these systems in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their basement is in great shape!

Jessica F. of Brighton, Illinois noticed that her basement was collecting water and some of the walls were cracking and bowing. She did not want to ignore the problems and allow them to get worse, so she called Woods Basement Systems for assistance.

Design specialist Cody M. assessed the situation and decided that installing wall anchors would fix the bowing walls, and a TripleSafe sump pump and a Waterguard drainage system would keep the basement dry. Because foreman and their crews are specially trained, foreman Miguel O. came to the home to install the waterproofing products, and foreman Jeremy R. traveled to the home to install the wall anchors.

Wall anchors, pictured above, extend from the inside walls of the basement to the hard packed soil outside. The wall anchors stabilize and prevent any further movement of the walls.

Jessica F. no longer has to worry about the walls in her home cracking or her basement flooding. She now has stable walls and a dry basement.

Cracks in the foundation walls of Donald K.’s Fairview Heights, IL home had him worried. The cracks spanned the wall and he was concerned that if he left the walls, the problem would only get worse so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.

Woods installed the Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked walls. The external pressure from unstable soil conditions causes damage like cracking to walls. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract that pressure by connecting wall plates on the inside of the walls to earth anchors embedded is stable soil conditions in the yard using steel anchor rods. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors will permanently stabilize the foundation walls and prevent future movement or damage.

Gerald M was concerned when he noticed that his walls were beginning to bow, and his floors were sinking. So, he decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Jeremy K was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Jose L installed a Push Pier in Gerald’s basement. The Push Pier will be driven into a stable level of soil. The device will support the sinking portion and attempt to raise the level back towards its original position overtime.
