Mary E is worried about the support in her crawlspace. It seems to be failing, causing multiple problems in the house. The floors are sloping, and cracks are appearing in the ceiling and walls.
Michael R and his crew installed The SmartJack System to support the beams and joists in the crawlspace. This will resolve the problems in the house, such as the sloping floors and the cracks. A CleanSpace liner was also installed to isolate the crawlspace from the earth. This will also prevent water vapor from entering, keeping the crawlspace clean and dry. Mary can now relax knowing her crawlspace is stabilized!
A foundation was shifting in Farina, IL, as it was bowing out and cracking. To solve this issue, the PowerBrace System was installed. This system is designed to stabilize a home’s foundation permanently. It will support the basement walls and straighten them over time. It will distribute the load evenly and eliminate the worry of damage caused by commonly seen wood floor joists. This system can be tightened over time and doesn't require any invasive drilling or digging. PowerBrace’s brackets are engineered to provide strong support to the joints and protect the floor system's durability.
John B. was concerned about his floors sagging in his home. To fix this, The SmartJack System was installed to stabilize crawl space beams and floor joists. These will lift the floors above the crawl space back toward their original elevation and reduce floor bounce caused by weakened floor joists or excessive spans. John can now enjoy his home again knowing the floors are stable!
A crawlspace was becoming unstable in Forsyth, IL, causing issues. To fix this, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This crawlspace will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
In the photo you can see a shadow at the top of the wood studs on the foundation wall: this is how far in the finished drywall needed to be because of the bowing in effect. The reason we were called out to this Decatur, Illinois home was to stop the wall from moving in any further. The wall continued to push in damaging the finished drywall and the homeowner wanted to fix the problem once and for all. Otherwise, just resetting the finished wall in a couple of inches only would buy time until the force of the inward movement would damage the drywall a second time. We installed our Geo-Lock® wall anchoring system to permanently solve the problem.
