Unstable soil conditions on the exterior of the foundation can exert an enormous amount of pressure on the foundation walls and cause damage like bowing and cracking. Todd G. of Troy, MO had long horizontal and stair step cracks spanning across his foundation walls. He was worried that the walls might fail if he left them much longer so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended a wall support system that included Geo-Lock Wall Anchors .
Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked walls to counteract the external soil pressure. To do this, earth anchors were embedded in more stable soil conditions in the yard. They were connected to wall plates on the inside of the foundation walls with galvanized steel anchor rods. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize walls in place and in most cases can straighten walls over time by tightening them during dry conditions.
Kathy H was concerned when she noticed that her basement walls were beginning to bow. She decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Brandon B was able to come up with a solution to the problem.
Foreman Bradly P installed a PowerBrace, shown above, in Kathy’s basement. The PowerBrace is a system of metal beams that will attach to the wall, and prevent them from bowing any further than they already have. They will also be able to straighten the walls overtime.
It is not at all uncommon for attached garages to begin to sink and separate from the house itself. This can obviously cause all sorts of damage that requires costly repairs, and it is extremely important to address the issue as soon as it becomes apparent. This Troy, Missouri homeowner was faced with these exact issues and made the smart decision to call Woods Basement Systems. A Woods team installed several galvanized steel Push Piers in the ground underneath the foundation before adjusting them to lift the garage back to level and support it for the life of the structure.
A foundation was cracking again after having been previously sealed in a basement in Troy, MO, and the homeowners wanted the problem solved once and for all. To do this, the GeoLock Wall Anchor System was installed. These will permanently stabilize the wall, straightening it to its original position and keeping it in place. The cracks will also be closed so that no water can leak through. This foundation will now remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
A basement foundation was failing in Troy, MO, as cracks were reappearing after being sealed. To solve this issue, the PowerBrace System was installed. This system is designed to stabilize a home’s foundation permanently. It will support the basement walls and straighten them over time. It will distribute the load evenly and eliminate the worry of damage caused by commonly seen wood floor joists. This system can be tightened over time and doesn't require any invasive drilling or digging. PowerBrace’s brackets are engineered to provide strong support to the joints and protect the floor system's durability. This foundation will now remain stable and secure for years to come!
