This homeowner has cracks developing in the corner of their basement wall. The corner relies on the adjacent walls to support it, and both walls had large diagonal cracks, showing that the corner had little to no support left. The solution on one of the walls was to use Power Braces. There was not sufficient room to install Wall Anchors on this wall, because a neighbor's yard was too close. These metal supports are placed against the wall and bolted down to prevent the wall from bowing, and giving it extra support for the home.
A basement in Effingham, Illinois, was starting to show signs of foundation failure. This situation needed to be addressed sooner rather than later. Woods came out and installed the PowerBrace System to solve this issue. The PowerBrace System consists of zinc-plated steel beams custom fit to the basement height. They are secured to the wall and floor and are anchored to the support beams that hold up the floor. This system can be tightened over time, allowing for adjustments to prevent wall failure. With this installation in place, this home will be stable for many years into the future.
This homeowner in Effingham, IL, had a crawlspace suffering from sagging ceilings and insufficient support. The archaic stack of bricks was tilting, missing bricks, and didn't look like it would last much longer. To replace them, the SmartJack support system was installed, which will hold up the ceiling much more efficiently for years to come, giving the customer peace of mind.
Support blocks were failing in a crawlspace in Effingham, IL, causing issues. To fix this, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This crawlspace will now remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
