This Pevely, Missouri homeowner was very concerned with the state of her concrete-block basement walls. Over the years, they had become riddled with large cracks and had begun to bow inward. She was worried that, if left unaddressed, the walls may collapse. To support these walls and prevent any more damage, a Woods Basement Systems team affixed several PowerBrace supports to the wall. These galvanized steel I-beams are incredibly strong and totally prevent further movement.
If your home's floors start to sink, a SmartJack can help support your home. It can also raise the level of the sinking floors.
Sylvia and Terry S. had floors that were sagging above their basement. There were also large cracks forming between their walls and ceilings in the rooms above the basements. The had a metal post connected to their beam but it was not doing much to stabilize their floors so they called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing post piers.
Post piers were installed to lift and stabilize the floors above the basement and close up the cracks between the walls and ceiling. Post Piers are steel columns that provide addition support to the floor beam above. They are adjustable so they can continue to keep the load bearing floor beam secure.
A foundation was shifting in a Ballwin, MO basement, causing a large vertical crack to form. To solve this issue, the PowerBrace System was installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and eliminate any further inward movement. This will also reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage. This foundation will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
Elaine W. was experiencing cracks in her home's wall due to foundation settlement. She did not want the problem to get any worse, so she called Woods Basement Systems for help.
Design specialist Jeremy R. assessed the situation and came up with the perfect solution. Foreman Jose L. then traveled to the home to install several push piers. The steel push piers, pictured above, were placed adjacent to the footings of the home. The piers stabilize the home and lift it back to its original position. Finally, the piers are covered with soil.
Elaine W. no longer has to worry about cracks in the walls or any further settlement of her home. She now has a stable and level home.
