Support blocks were failing in a crawlspace in Tamms, IL, as they were shifting. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. These are steel support systems that can permanently stabilize and level the floor joists and girders in a crawlspace. These add strength and stability to the existing columns and piers in the crawlspace. They are unaffected by moisture, as they will not rust, weaken, or be affected by mold. These will lift the floors above back toward their original position, reduce floor “bounce” caused by excessive joist spans, and solve the problem once and for all!
Tyler W. of New Athens, Illinois discovered that his crawl space was flooding. He knew that all the standing water could cause problems such as mold growth and rotting, so he called Woods Basement Systems for assistance.
Design specialist Joshua L. assessed the situation and decided the best solution would be to fully waterproof the crawl space. Foreman Joshua B. then traveled to the home to install a CleanSpace encapsulation system, a SmartPipe drainage system, a SmartSump sump pump, and a Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier. The CleanSpace encapsulation system, pictured above, was placed over the floor and up the walls of the crawl space. It is a durable liner that completely seals the crawl space from the earth and acts as a vapor barrier.
After experiencing high energy bills, Leo and Betty C. of Granite City, IL decided to have CleanSpace installed in their crawlspace to control the temperature and humidity in their crawlspace. We also installed a Sump Pump to keep the area from having standing water.
Granite City, Illinois resident Tom N. was tired of looking at his old, ugly window well. The well didn't allow for light to enter his basement and critters made a home of it.
Foreman Tom B. and his crew installed the RockWell egress window well. RockWell provides a beautiful view, allows natural light to enter the basement and keeps the critters away.
Ray and Pamela R., Granite City, Illinois homeowners, were troubled by their wet, musty crawl space. Water seepage caused mold. Mold is an allergen to most people and can be harmful to the home's structure. System design specialist John S. designed a solution.
Foreman Josh B. installed the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier. It prevents water from entering the crawl space and does not support mold growth. SaniDry, an energy-efficient dehumidifier, was also installed. Keeping the humidity low prevents mold growth.
Ray and Pamela are pleased to have a restored crawl space that they know will stay dry.
