Al P. of East Alton, IL had hidden leaks behind his wooden finished walls. Organic materials, like wood, and water do no mix. As seen in the picture, the wooden frames had started to rot so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended a waterproofing system.
Woods installed CleanSpace over the foundation walls. CleanSpace is a thick, durable plastic moisture barrier. It prevents water getting into the basement through the walls, instead directing it down to the perimeter drainage system. It’s mold resistant and gives the basement a much brighter and cleaner appearance.
A unsealed crawlspace in East Alton, Illinois, was seeping humidity and cold up through the floor and into the home. To address these issues, Woods first installed the CleanSpace System. This system consists of a highly durable and inorganic tarp that seals off the ground from the house above. It also helps brighten up the space as well as keeping rot and insects at bay. Woods also installed the SilverGlo system. SilverGlo is attached to the walls of the crawlspace. It provides insulation and reflects heat back into the crawlspace, which will save this homeowner money on heating and cooling. Thanks to these two installs, this crawlspace will remain sealed for many years to come.
