This De Soto, Illinois crawl space didn't have any sort of radiant barrier or finishing. Woods Basement Systems installed CleanSpace in order to provide a clean surface for the homeowner to use for storage as well as to prevent moisture buildup in the crawlspace that could lead to mold and mildew, both of which create foul odors.
Kevin and Marissa D. of Highland, IL were concerned about a musty smell coming from the crawl space of their home so they gave Woods Basement System a call. System design specialist, Chris S. did a thorough inspection and created a design that would resolve the issue.
Foreman, Juan H. headed over to the home to do a CleanSpace Encapsulation system installation. Many homeowners are not aware of the importance of a CrawlSpace in their home. The air of the home comes from the crawl space, that is why it is extremely important to keep it clean and healthy. The CleanSpace CrawlSpace Encapsulation consists of a 7-layer liner material. The liner material goes up the walls and across the floor to completely seal it away from the earth. The CleanSpace stops all the water vapor from the walls or soil from coming in.
Thanks to the CleanSpace crawl space Encapsulation system, Kevin and Marissa D. have a clean and bright crawl space.
A concrete wall supporting some landscaping alongside a home was starting to bow, threatening to fall entirely if a solution wasn't found. Woods came out and installed the GeoLock System to correct this problem. Steel plates are placed directly on the concrete wall. These plates are connected by metal rods to steel anchors buried some ways away from the home. This system will effectively stabilize the wall and move it back to its original position. It also can be tightened over time, preventing this type of issue in the future. Thanks to Woods, this wall will remain stable for many years to come.
