PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it.

Water was coming down a wall in a basement in Chesterfield, MO, and pooling onto the floor. To solve this issue, a partial CleanSpace Basement Wall System was first installed. This will act as a drain curtain that will make sure that water can drain directly into the WaterGuard System, which was also installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. This system has a design that will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. Lastly, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed. This system assures protection from everyday problems with an ordinary pump. It can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a secondary pump included inside that will help eliminate the water if the first pump is unable to keep up with the amount of water that is entering it. It also features a removable airtight lid which reduces noise, prevents objects from falling in, and keeps moisture, insects, and odor from coming out of the sump. Thanks to these systems, this basement will now stay dry all the time!

Homeowners in Chesterfield, MO. updated their waterproofing protection with Woods Basement Systems. Their existing sump pump was supplemented with a TripleSafe™ system.
The TripleSafe™ sump pump system is an extraordinary system that features three individual sump pumps in a specially designed liner. This liner will collect water from the perimeter drainage system as well as from the ground around the sump pit. This water will be dispelled from the basement by the main 1/4 horsepower pump. Should water levels rise too high for just that pump alone to keep the basement dry, a second, 1/2 horsepower pump can kick in to assist the first. And if both pumps become overwhelmed, or if the power goes out and they can't turn on, a third, battery-powered pump will kick in to ensure the basement stays dry.
Not only does the TripleSafe™ have the advantage over a normal sump pump in pumping power, but the TripleSafe™ also has several features in the liner that set it further apart from the competition. Unlike this sump pit, the TripleSafe™ has an air-tight lid that will prevent any water in the sump pit from evaporating into the basement air. The liner also features an alarm that can alert homeowners to a possible flood or plumbing leak and a specially designed floor drain that will allow water to enter the sump pit without allowing air to escape.
With the TripleSafe™ installed, this home is better protected against a flooding basement than ever before. The extra features of the TripleSafe™ will help set it apart from the original pump and prove to be valuable to the homeowner for years to come.
This basement in Chesterfield, MO. was experiencing water leaks through tiny cracks in the foundation walls. These cracks would allow water to leak into the basement, where it would soak into the back of the finished wall. Over time, this small leak would cause large damage to the vulnerable materials of the wall like the wood, insulation and paint.
To protect these walls, foreman Mike J. from Woods Basement Systems installed CleanSpace™ across the surface of the foundation walls behind the finished walls. CleanSpace™ is a vapor barrier designed to protect crawlspaces, but has been adapted to also work in basements. It works by permanently fastening to the foundation wall and blocking any water leaks from passing through to the finished wall on the other side. CleanSpace™ is made from a tear-proof material designed to last and features an anti-microbial layer that blocks mold growth across its surface. Any water that gets blocked by CleanSpace™ gets funneled down into the perimeter drainage system, where it gets carried to the sump pump and removed from the home.
With CleanSpace™ on the foundation walls, the finished walls will stay protected and dry and the homeowners won't have to worry about replacing them because of water damage.

Our foremen Justin Gunn and his team came out to the home to seal the crawlspace from the earth, using several of our products including UltraSump, CleanSpace, and Vent Covers. This home in Chesterfield, MO. was experiencing bowing walls. The pressure from the soil outside pressing in was causing the foundation walls to bend inward slightly. Over time, this pressure and bending could cause severe damage ranging from cracks up to collapsed walls.
To fix this problem, foreman Todd G. of Woods Basement Systems installed GeoLock wall anchors. This system can not only stop walls from bowing, but can sometimes even reverse the process, straightening the walls back out to their original position.
The wall anchor system works by burying a plate outside in the compacted soil and running a steel rod through the loose soil and into the home, where it attaches to a second plate inside. The two plates are pulled together by the rod, pulling the foundation walls into a strong, supported position permanently.
With wall anchors in place in this home in Chesterfield, the homeowners won't have to worry about their foundation walls failing anymore.
Homeowner Laura C. of Chesterfield, MO. scheduled a maintenace inspection on her sump pump system with Woods Basement Systems. John L. went out to look at the system and make sure everything was working well.
While he was there, John noticed that, even though the sump pump system was eliminating water leaks, the air still seemed damp and uncomfortable. He recommended the Sedona air dehumidifier. With the ability to remove up to 100 pints of moisture from the air in a single day, the Sedona would make short work of the damp air in this basement. On top of removing the moisture from the air, the Sedona would also filter the air, removing tiny particles like mold spores or dust mite droppings. Now the air would feel dry and comfortable while also preventing the spread of mold and allergens.
Laura C. was able to upgrade her home with a Sedona dehumidifier during a maintenance inspection to keep her basement air as dry as her basement floors.
Chesterfield, Missouri homeowner Julie B. had only finished her basement in the last year when she began to have moisture issues in the space. The leaks had already ruined parts of the drywall and flooring, as well as several pieces of furniture, and Julie was ready to have the problem taken care of.
Before a Woods Basement Systems team could begin waterproofing, they had to cut away the bottom half of the drywall and rip up parts of the floor to gain access to the foundation. After this, they installed a WaterGuard drainage system underneath the floor at the base of the leaking walls in order to catch any water. Finally, a TripleSafe sump system was put in place to remove all leaks from the home. Julie is thrilled with the results!

Chris no longer has to worry about his walls!

This week Irene had her crawlspace flooded with water and needed it the water gone as soon as possible. She also wanted to stop the water flow at its source. The problem was that water was coming in from under the home and getting in through footers and flooding the entire basement. In turn, this water made it damp and humid, which is the perfect environment for mold to colonize. Woods Basement Systems came out to evaluate her concerns and see how they could correct the situation. Irene purchased the SmartPump System, the SmartPipe System, the SaniDry XP System as well as the CleanSpace wall coverings to insure that everything would be fixed the proper way once and for all. With all of these systems working together, there was no way water was going to be a concern for her anymore. The SumpPump would get the water out and the SmartPipe would catch any water coming through the dirt floor.
Now production had to begin, first a hole was dug out and the SmartPump System was placed inside and turned up so that all the water in the basement was pumped out. Originally the water collected all around the basement, not a trench was dug where the SmartPipe would lie in order to catch any water coming through the dirt floor. All exteriors lines for the SmartPump were then connected and lead outside of the home. Now that the two main systems where placed and ready to go, the CleanSpace wall covering was placed over the top floor which made it brighter and waterproof. With the CleanSpace done, the last thing to do was to suck out the humid air with the SaniDry System and prevent mold growth. Irene was very pleased on how her crawlspace turned out and how dry is has become from the original point. If you or someone you know is looking to have their crawlspace inspected give us a call here at Woods Basement Systems located in Collinsville, IL.
