This will keep the space dry, allowing the homeowners to have another useful storage space in their home.

This Waggoner, Illinois home was in the process of being renovated and had very badly damaged and weak floor joists. These joists needed to be addressed before anything, so the property owner gave Woods Basement Systems a call. A Woods team installed several Smart Jacks, each capable of supporting 60,000 pounds, underneath the floor joists to lift and support them. 

A crawlspace in Beckemeyer, Illinois, needed some stabilization work done. The old supports were starting to fail, and substitute supports can be seen. These are not adequate and need to be replaced with steel piers. Woods came out and did just that. The SmartJack system consists of custom-cut steel beams. They are placed in galvanized fill to equally distribute the weight of the building. They can be tightened over time. This allows maintenance to be done as the ground continues to shift without requiring another costly install. With this install in place, this crawlspace will remain stable for many years to come.

Debra R. of Herrin, Illinois discovered that water was entering her home's basement. She did not want to have to worry about cleaning up a mess every time it stormed, so she called Woods Basement Systems for assistance.

Design specialist Jacob K. assessed the situation and formulated the perfect solution. Foreman Juan H. then traveled to the home to install a CleanSpace wall system and a Waterguard drainage system. The Waterguard drainage system, pictured above, was installed above the footing of the basement. It collects any water that is coming up from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. It then drains the water to the sump pump. 

Debra R. is very happy that she no longer has to worry about her home's basement holding water after heavy rain showers. She now has a waterproof and dry basement.

Nate of Herrin, Illinois knew that he needed to fix his crawl space stability since when he first noticed structural damage, he tried to fix the problem himself with cement blocks. After given the recommendation of SmartJacks, Team Woods went straight to work installing the new SmartJacks.

The SmartJack Stabilizers are made out of galvanized steel that will both stabilize and level the girders and floor joists in a crawl space.
