ThermalDry Floor Matting in Springfield, IL Basement

In the before photo you can see the basement floor showed signs of past water damage. To accomplish a more finished look and protect the floor from any future water damage, these Springfield, IL home owners choose to call Woods Basement Systems for our Total Basement Finishing Solutions!

Our installation team put in place the ThermalDry Floor matting tiles. This matting comes in carpet and tile options. The great feature about them is that there are raised pegs on the bottom of each tile to keep them lifted off the concrete floor. From the after photo you can see that this matting system looks like regular tile once completely installed.

Both the tile and the carpet matting are water resistant and can quickly and easily be replaced should one ever be damaged from everyday ware and tare. Sometimes it's not even necessary to replace a tile, but simply switch it with one that is hidden under furniture or perhaps from a closet area.

Push Piers Installed in Springfield, IL

Wade K. noticed that new cracks and separations had formed in the foundation walls in his  Springfield, IL home. The cracks were allowing water to get in and Wade K. was worried about the safety of his home’s structure so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods inspected the foundation and recommended installing Push Piers.

Woods installed the Push Piers along the concrete footing on the inside of the home. Push Piers are made of galvanized steel sections that are hydraulically driven through steel brackets down into competent, load-bearing soil or bedrock. They transfer the weight of the home from the unstable soil conditions responsible for the settlement to the competent soil or bedrock. The piers are then attached to the concrete footing with the steel brackets to permanently stabilize the foundation. In many cases, Push Piers can also lift the home back to level position.
