A crawlspace was becoming unstable in Forsyth, IL, causing issues. To fix this, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This crawlspace will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
A concrete driveway was settling in Forsyth, IL, causing the slabs to sink, become uneven, and crack. To solve these issues, the PolyLevel System was installed. This will stabilize, lift, and level the concrete slabs with high-strength polyurethane foam. Pea-sized holes were drilled into the concrete and the foam was injected to fill the void underneath. This installation technique allows the foam to expand as it cures, precisely lifting the slab back up. Additionally, NexusPro Joint Sealant was installed. This will seal the joints and cracks in the concrete. It will provide long-lasting flexibility and stand up to harsh weather conditions. These systems will improve the safety of the driveway and restore peace of mind!
This Decatur, Illinois crawl space was suffering from mold and water seepage. Woods Basement Systems replaced the existing clogged sump pumps with the SmartPipe drainage system and sealed the crawlspace with a vapor barrier called CleanSpace.
In the photo you can see a shadow at the top of the wood studs on the foundation wall: this is how far in the finished drywall needed to be because of the bowing in effect. The reason we were called out to this Decatur, Illinois home was to stop the wall from moving in any further. The wall continued to push in damaging the finished drywall and the homeowner wanted to fix the problem once and for all. Otherwise, just resetting the finished wall in a couple of inches only would buy time until the force of the inward movement would damage the drywall a second time. We installed our Geo-Lock® wall anchoring system to permanently solve the problem.
A resident of Decatur, IL was not pleased when her sump pump couldn’t keep up with the heavy rains, resulting in a wet basement. The pump wasn’t doing its job, which made it worthless and a waste of space. The resident called Woods Basement Systems in hopes that they could solve the problem once and for all. Woods replaced the old sump pump with a new TripleSafe. The TripleSafe uses three different pumps in order to keep up with the incoming water and pump it away from the home. The resident is now happy with her dry basement thanks to Woods’ installation of the TripleSafe.
