Sinking Foundation - Side View
You can see by looking at this photo that the foundation sinks to one side.
Foundation Cracks
Cracks can happen for a number of reasons like shrinkage of concrete or mortar, soil settlement, soil pressure, or construction defects.
Stair Step Cracks
Concrete block foundation walls can crack as a result of soil pressure or settlement along the mortar joints between blocks. Cracks in the foundation can indicate a foundation problem that needs to be addressed.
Excavating For Installation
To remedy the sinking foundation, we are installing push piers. Here you can see where we excavated to install each push pier along the foundation to stabilize it.
Push Pier Up Close
Push piers are made of heavy-duty steel and are connected to your foundation by steel brackets. As the piers reach strong supporting soils, they are driven deep under your house in sections.

Here you can see the push piers with hydraulic jacks installed next to the foundation.
Where the Problem Lies
You can see from looking at this photo that the house is sinking to one side. If you look at the roof, you can see how it bows in.
