Bowing Walls
Woods fixed the bowing walls by installing the Geo-Lock Wall Anchor system by Foundation SupportWorks. This system permanently stabilizes the foundation walls and provides the best opportunity to straighten them over time.
Wall Cracks
Wall anchors have a much quicker installation time and are less expensive than other solutions, which make them the best option for repair.
Wall Anchor Installation
The first step of the process is to remove the soil along the outside perimeter of the home where the anchors will be installed. Heavy-duty anchors are then securely installed in a stable layer of soil out and away from the home. They are connected to steel wall plates on the interior of the wall with long galvanized steel rods.
Geo-Lock Wall Anchors
A unique feature of the Geo-Lock system is the ability to tighten the anchors when the soil around the home shrinks due to dry spells. This provides an opportunity to improve and straighten the bowing of the basement walls over time.
WaterGuard Installation
WaterGuard is a water drainage system that is designed to effectively solve basement water problems without the worry of clogging. It is installed on top of the footing rather than beside it, so dirt and debris from below cannot enter and cause it to become clogged.
WaterGuard
It also has a special wall flange for any wall seepage to be drained away from the home. WaterGuard can be used with all types of foundations including block, poured concrete, and stone.
