In Saint Charles, Missouri homeowners Pat and Terry C. were worried about the foundation of their home. Recently, the homeowners have noticed small cracks around the inside and outside of their home. Finding small hairline cracks inside the home near doors and windows as well as larger cracks outside the home stair-stepping along the brick surface. They decided to call Woods Basement Systems to find a better solution to support their home’s foundation and to stop the cracks from forming or becoming larger. We sent our foremen Jeremy Raby and his team out to the couple’s home to install the perfect solution to their problem, GeoLock Wall Anchors. Our GeoLock system consists of galvanized steel earth anchors that are embedded into the soil out away from your foundation wall. Once installed, the anchors will hold walls in their current position without any further adjustment. Relieving the pressure of the home, so no other cracks will form in or outside of the home. Now, Pat and Terry can rest easy knowing their home is straightened and supported.

GeoLock Installation

Wall Anchors are installed by digging a small hole in the soil away from the homes foundation. A steel rod is drilled through a hole in the basement wall and is connected to an earth anchor seated deep within the hole. A wall plate is placed on the interior of the basement and secured with a rod.

Now that the anchors are installed, the home is better supported and stable, reducing the likely-hood of more cracks forming in the home or it's foundation.
