In Defiance, Missouri homeowner Donna A. was concerned about the unstable posts supporting her home in the basement. Recently, Donna had noticed the floors above her basement had became sagging and uneven. She decided to call Woods Basement Systems to find a better solution to support her home and foundation. We sent our foremen Jose Lorenzana and his team out to Donna’s home to install Post Piers in her basement. Our Post Piers are a better solution for supporting a home’s foundation, and stabilizing and evening out the floors above. Now, Donna does not have to worry about her home caving in and has assurance that her home is now stable and strong.

Some causes of sagging floors include; existing columns are spaced too far apart, floor joists and girders have weakened, or existing columns have settled.

Some signs of sagging floors include; floors slope sometimes creating a gap between the floor and interior walls, cracks in interior walls and gaps around door frames, and doors sticking or have been shaved down in order to close.
