Foundation Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Makeover

Saint Louis homeowner Jason M. was tired of looking at his dirty unsealed crawl space. He thought the space had potential to store some items he did not have space for in the other rooms of his home. Jason called Woods Basement Systems to give his crawl space a much needed makeover. We sent our foremen Jesse Crotser and his team out to use a various amount of items to dramatically change his crawl space into a usable storage space. Items installed in the crawl space include; CleanSpace walls, TripleSafe sump pump, SaniDry Sedona, and IceGaurd. Using these items, the crawl space will be completely sealed from the earth. Jason now has a dry place in his home for storage.

Dirt Crawl Space

Most homes today still have dirt crawl spaces. What most homeowners do not know is that the crawl space can be a useful space for extra storage in the home.

Unsealed Crawl Space

Dirt crawl spaces are unsealed and exposed to the earth, bringing unwanted air and smells into the home.

Dark, Dirty Crawl Space

Before adding our CleanSpace liner, the crawl space (as show in this photo) is dark and dirty. No homeowner would want to store precious items in this space.

SaniDry Sedona

The SaniDry Sedona air system will dry any basement or crawl space, no matter how damp, and keep it that way.

CleanSpace Liner

Clean space liner over the floor of the crawl space, water can seep or even flow under it to the sump, especially via any drainage channels created before it was installed.

TripleSafe Sump Pump

The SmartSump pumps the water out of the crawl space automatically. The sump includes a airtight lid with a drain keeps water vapor sealed in, while allowing water to drain down in an event of a plumbing leak.

IceGaurd

In the winter, the outlet of the pipe becomes blocked with snow and ice, eventually flooding your crawl space. With the IceGaurd, it is specifically engineered to automatically eject water away from the exterior wall in the event that the pipe freezes.
