Signs of a Foundation Problem
Cracks such as these can signify foundation settlement issues in the home. Installing wall anchors provides an opportunity to close the cracks and straighten the walls.
Soil Excavation
The first step in installation is removing the soil along the outside perimeter of the home to create a space to install the anchors.
Anchor Installation
Heavy-duty anchors are installed deep into a stable layer of soil out and away from the foundation wall.
Galvanized Steel Rods
The anchors are then connected to steel wall plates with long galvanized steel rods.
Steel Rods Prevent Bowing
These steel rods prevent any further bowing and provide an opportunity for the wall to straighten back toward its original position.
Adjustable Anchors
A unique feature of the Geo-Lock system is the ability to tighten the anchors when the soil around the home shrinks during dry spells.
Wall Anchors
Depending on the home, the number of wall anchors needed may vary. After installation, the soil will be backfilled and sod will be replaced.
