Driveway Cracking
One of the most visible cracks that this home held was in its driveway. This crack reveals that the cement surrounding the house is moving. When this happens, this usually indicates that the movement causes the concrete slabs to rub into each other and this results in cracking.
Lifted Foundation
The cement supporting the garage was also experiencing movement. As you can see, the cement that starts the home's driveway sunk while the garage cement slab was lifted.
Inside Damages
The damages didn't stop inside, once in the garage; there were also several severe cracks.
Push Piers to the Rescue!
Push piers were installed into the footing of the foundation to lift and lock the home back into place. When the home settles, this affects the cement that surrounds and supports the house. These piers will reinforce the foundation and prevent further cracking.
Piering System
This image shows a better look at the push piers that are driven into the footing of the home. Why are they installed in the footing? These piers will take the pressure of the home off of the house and onto the piers.
