Exterior Cracks
The first sign that the homeowner noticed trouble was with the cracks in the foundation. These cracks only widened and had gotten worse with time.
Waterproofing
Here you can see where water was able to make its way inside the basement. Cracks led to a domino effect of issues. Now the homeowner had water leaks inside and had planned to waterproof the basement.
Stair-Stepping Crack
Stair-stepping cracks are the result of the pressure the foundation is under by the soil its surrounded by.
More Cracks
When the soil is saturated with water, this puts pressure on the foundation because water makes the soil heavier and more forceful.
Cracked Porch
The walls weren't the only structure the was impacted. The cement on the back porch also experienced severe cracking.
Push Piers Installed
Here the push piers have been installed into the footing. These massive piers will lift and lock the foundation into place.
Complete
The push piers are then covered with a cement layer to seal the piers. Once the cement dries, this porch will look back to normal.
