Water Damaged Wall
Water was able to leak into this basement by the many wall cracks that had developed on the walls. These wall cracks had only widened and deepened with time which allowed more water inside.
Patched Cracks
Although the homeowner patched the cracks, these cracks revealed a much deeper issue: foundation settlement. Team Woods would install push piers to restore the home's foundation.
Push Piers
Push piers claim their name because these piers are "pushed" into the footing of the home's foundation. These piers lift and lock the foundation into place to prevent further settling and damage.
Push Piers Installed
Several push piers were installed into the footing of the foundation to restore the basement walls. These piers can be installed both on the inside and outside to secure the home's walls.
Sealed
The last step of installing this piering system is to seal the piers with a layer of cement. The cement layer will prevent outer elements from harming the push piers.
Job Complete
Now that the piering system has been installed, this home will no longer suffer from large cracks that allow in water. Once dried, the floor will look just as it did before!
