Foundation Repair Photo Album: Wright City, MO Home With Severely Sunken Foundation Fixed With Push Piers
This album contains several photos of how foundation settling often manifests itself in a home. This particular home is owned by Jim, and Jim started to notice cracking and warping of doors, floors, and other structures around the house. Doing his due dilligence, he contacted Woods Basement Systems.
After a Woods' system design specialist visited the home and assessed the severity of the foundation settlement, foreman Jose L. and his team arrived and got to work. In order to fix the problem, they installed 19 Low Profile Push Piers in the ground and re-settled the foundation. These push piers will remain underground to provide additional support.
Door Not Properly Seated In Frame
In this photo light can clearly be seen shining through a large gap between the top of the door and the frame. Doors and windows shifting are common signs of foundation settlement.
Significant Crack In Garage Floor
Here is a very wide, visible crack in the floor of the garage.
Cracking Around Door Frame
On the top left of the door frame, a crack can clearly be seen, showing that the wall is shifting downward.
Ceiling Trim No Longer Even
In this last photo, this piece of ceiling trim is warped and falling out of alignment, another common sign of foundation settlement.
