Foundation Settlement
Cracking and shifting of the basement wall revealed that the home was experiencing foundation settlement. Over time this is common to see among homes, but to keep the house safe and secure action to restore the foundation should be taken right away.
Residue of Water Stains
As Team Woods investigated the home, they had found previous water leaks inside the basement.
Soaked Wall
Water is powerful and can weaken a wall over time. A wall that experiences several water leaks can potentially bow or collapse due to the weight and pressure of water.
Bowing Wall
This wall was bowing due to water pressure placed on the wall during heavy rains. To fix this wall, wall anchors would soon be installed to straighten the wall and regain stability.
Wall Anchors Installed
The walls are now supported by wall anchors which will help straighten the walls over time by locking the wall back into a stable position.
Powerful Beams
Wall anchors are made out of durable, galvanized steel which can hold a massive amount of weight. This is why a water damaged wall that carries more weight than normal can be restored by these beams.
Exterior Piers
Push piers were installed outside of the basement under the footing. These powerful piers are able to lift the home up and prevent settlement damage.
