Several Basement Wall Cracks
When there is enough pressure from the outside soil against a basement foundation wall we often find several cracks.
Epoxy Crack Re-Opened
Epoxy repaired cracks typically do not break open but often we find secondary new cracks nearby. This foundation had enough force from the soil outside that the crack re-opened.
Failed Wall Brace
If the damaged wall is corrected sooner rather than after severe inward movement, a wall brace foundation repair system may be the proper repair. However, with the inward tipping already occurring and epoxy patched cracks re-cracking, a different foundation repair system was needed in this case.
Twisted
The wooden floor joist are very strong but in this case without being reinforced the inward pressure push in the wall and the holding bolts twisted and could not stop the inward movement.
Outside Sign of Inward Wall Movement
As the basement foundation wall tipped in,the outside brickwork rotated outward all along the wall.
Inside Anchoring Plate
The inside steel plate is anchored to the earth anchor outside by a galvanized rod. The series of anchors along the basement wall will stop the inward movement.
Distance to Miss Deck
The anchoring system and connection rods may go further in the yard to miss porches, landscaping, and decks so these items do not need to be moved or replaced for us to install our work.
Double Earth Anchor Plates
This is the exterior earth anchor that a steel rod connects to the interior plate in a row along the basement wall.
