The back half of the this home in Springfield IL had settled. The foundation wall crack matched closely with the basement floor crack and had dropped nearly two inches. On the rear of the home we did exterior piers and installed inside piers on the side walls. Now the home's foundation is stable and secure with a writtend transferabe warranty for the life of the structure.

Patched Crack Re-Cracked

The side wall of the home's foundation re-cracked and continued to settle so foundation piers were installed to correct this problem.

Exterior Piers

Once the pier placement are measured, the earth is dug to expose the foundation footing that is failing and settling. The footing is notched to correctly place the "L" shape pier bracket.

2nd Pier Footing Location

Each pier placed must have a small section of the footing removed to install the piering system and bracket.

Floor Crack

From left to right across a rear half of the basement is the floor crack following with the dropping footing of the rear of the home.

Inside Piers

The basement floor is removed in sections to install the interior piers. To the right of the photo is the vertical wall crack on the other side of the basement side wall that has cracked and settled.
