Inside Basement Piering
The work area is separated from the rest of the basement when installing inside piers. The "L" shaped pier bracket is sitting near the wood stud wall and will be inserted under the foundation wall once a small section of the foundation footing is removed.
More Cracks
With a few cracks in the basement having epoxy patched, right vertical crack, the new crack to the left is going horizontal is evidence of continual foundation movement that needed to be stopped.
Basement Floor Opened
At each pier system location along the foundation wall a section of the basement floor is removed. Some of the soil is removed making room for the "L" bracket.
Chipping Out the Footing
A small section of the footing is removed to insert the piering system beneath the vertical foundation wall. Only a small section of the footing is removed and understand that the piering systems is now going to repair and hold the foundation in place and not the footing.
1st Pier Tube Installed
The Ram will perfectly force the pier deep into the ground by hydraulically forcing the tube into the soil and then retract for the 2nd section of tubing.
Pier Installation
Each section of the pier tube is hydraulically installed. This is typically called a "push" pier and is a stable and secure method to stop foundation settlement.
Ram Retracted
Once a pier tube is installed then the ram is retracted and another section of the pier tube is installed.
Closed Pier Cap
Each pier has a cap to secure the pier to the foundation. The warranty now on this structure is a written transferable warranty for the life of the structure.
