Start at Seven
The laser transit is used to track the upward movement of the foundation during the piering lift.
One and three quarter lift
The piering system, push piers, were able to lift the whole rear of the foundation 1 3/4 inches.
Series of Lifting Rams
Once the soil is removed from the foundation along the settling side and rear of the structure then the best possible lift may occur returning the foundation to level.
Close up
The pier lift cylinder is temporarily attached to the foundation bracket during the lifting process. Just to the left of the red cylinder you can see the gap from the bottom of the footing lifted off the bottom of the ground under the footing.
Gap Under the Footing
This is a close up between the series of piering cylinders that shows the gap between the ground and the bottom of the footing. Equal to a 1 and 3/4 inch lift of the foundation.
Working Capping Each Pier
Once the foundation was lifted the worker are applying the pier cap to secure each pier to the foundation that will stop further settling.
Pier Cap
Each pier is capped and connected to the foundation to hold it in place and to keep it level.
Replacing the removed soil
Last step is to replace the removed ground from around the structure.
