Shifted & Cracked Basement Walls
It was apparent even from the outside of the home that the basement walls were experiencing settlement. Overtime these walls revealed more cracks which concerned the homeowner.
Cracking Inside the St. Louis Basement
Directly inside the home, the cracks and shifting of the wall were also noticeable. This homeowner took action knowing that the issue would only get worse with time. In the short period of time that he noticed the damage, it had already escalated!
Settled Foundation Walls Need Push Piers
The settlement of the walls was also bothersome. After Team Woods inspected the basement, system design specialist, Chris T., recommended installing a push pier system to lift the walls back into place.
Beginning of the Installation of the Push Piers
Foreman, Miguel O., and his crew installed the new push pier system to secure the troubled foundation. Push piers are called push piers because they are "pushed" or driven below the foundation and elevate the settled foundation.

Once pushed below the foundation, this is what the pier looks like.
Completed Installation of Push Piers
What's special about push piers is once they are installed, no one will ever notice any work was done. Team Woods covered the area where push piers were installed with cement. Once this cement dries, the project has been completed!
