Foundation Repair Photo Album: PolyLevel and Push Piers Raise Hillside Home in Ballwin, MO
Suresh owns a hillside home in Ballwin, Missouri. He noticed the back of the home was settling faster than the front and causing gaps in the walls. He gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Pete developed a two part plan for him.
Foreman Jose and his crew first installed the Push Piers. The Push Piers are steel rods that are drilled into the soil and transfer the weight of the structure from the washing out soil to the solid bedrock below.
Foreman Matt and his crew then filled the area creating by the Push Piers returning the building to its proper position with PolyLevel. The PolyLevel will create a base from the house to be on without the weight of more concrete. It will also not wash out like dirt.
Suresh can now trust his home is sturdy for decades to come and he should not run into more problems.
Hillside Home
Since water flows downhill picking up the dirt it touches, it is common to have wash-out. Especially on hillside homes where the water is moving quickly.
A Gap Between the Wall and Floor
Corners are weak points on any wall. Here the floor settled while the wall remained. This can cause a lot of damage and an entrance for water.
Installation of Push Pier
Foreman Jose specializes in Push Pier installation. Here he is installing one on this home.
Push Pier Anchored to Foundation
The Push Pier is anchored to the bottom of the foundation. As it is locked into place it will lift the home.
Once this process is finished the PolyLevel can be injected.
