Cracking
Cracking is common symptom revealing a foundation problem. One of the best solutions for this issue is the installation of push piers.
Vertical Cracks
This picture shows a different type of cracking. A common area to find cracking in the exterior of the home is around the windows. Cracking usually will start at the window and spread out in either a vertical or stair-stepping pattern. For this case a vertical crack is presented, meaning the foundation may be un-stabilized due to poor construction or when foundation concrete shrinks and cures.
Stair-Stepping Crack
As pictured, a stair-stepping crack will usually start around a window and will display a stair-like pattern. This type of pattern generally means that the settlement of the foundation is not secure. At Woods Basement Systems, we are able to fix these issues! For this specific home, foreman Jose L. installed several push piers in order to permanently secure the home.
