Excavation for Push Piers
Production Manger Jessir Carson excavates sections of the exterior soil to clear holes where push piers will be installed.
Transferring the Load to Load-Bearing Strata
The weight of the home is transferred to load--bearing strata. The home is lifted back to level if possible. And the hole is backfilled and re-concreted.
Exterior Piering Supports Foundation
Some push piers are installed outside, then secured to a heavy-duty bracket which rest beneath the footing of the structure.
Push Piers Fix Settling Foundations
Jessir Carson drives FSI model 288 push piers to competent, load-bearing strata. The weight of the home is then carefully transferred from unstable soils, through the piers, to competent soil. This ensures that no further settlement will occur.
Hydraulically-Driven Pier Systems
Steel tubes are hydraulically driven through a foundation bracket that is secured to the footing to competent soils.
Interior Push Pier Installation
Other piers are installed in the basement interior and to support the footing.
Push Piers Are Out-of-Sight
After the piers are installed, the soil that was excavated is backfilled, and the excavated section of the basement floor is re-concreted. The piers are out-of-sight, but they keep working to prevent further settlement.
