A crawlspace in Staunton, Illinois, needed some sealing and stabilization work completed. Woods came out and first installed the CleanSpace System to seal the area. This system consists of a thin but durable sheet of material that is attached directly to the walls and floor of the crawlspace. This barrier will protect it from insects, humidity, and water. The next step was to install new support piers for the failing foundation. Woods installed the SmartJack System next to address the stability concerns. These are custom cut steel piers that are fitted to the ceiling of the crawlspace. They can be adjusted over time, preventing the need for another costly installation. With these installs in place, this crawlspace will be both stable and sealed for years into the future.
