Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Encapsulating And Stabilizing A Home In Sullivan, MO
A crawlspace in Sullivan, Missouri, needed some work done. Old support posts needed to be replaced for stabilization, as they were starting to fail. The crawlspace also needed to be sealed as it was letting a lot of heat out and driving up electricity costs for the homeowners. Woods came in and first installed the CleanSpace System to seal the space. This system consists of a highly durable sheet of material that protects against rot, mold, and insects. It is placed directly on the floors and walls; the white color brightens up the space as well. The next install was SilverGlo to insulate and reflect heat back into the space. The last install was the SmartJack System to stabilize the floor joists above. This system consists of custom cut steel beams. They are placed in galvanized fill to equally distribute the weight of the building. They can be tightened over time. This allows maintenance to be done as the ground continues to shift without requiring another costly install. With these installs in place, this crawlspace will be sealed and stable for years to come.
