We had a Granite, City, IL homeowner contacted us because moisture was getting into the crawl space of their home. After meeting with the owners for a free estimate, we removed debris before encapsulating the area, installed a new vapor barrier, and installed a new sump pump system. Here are some job progress photos of our team during the installation. This homeowner now has a dry, encapsulated crawl space and a healthier home.

Effects of Moisture

Here you can see the crawl space before we installed the vapor barrier. Moisture in a crawl space can cause problems like you see with the pier.

Sump Pump

For crawl spaces, we install a smaller sump pump system to fit into smaller spaces. The sump pump can easily be integrated with the vapor barrier like you see here.

Vapor Barrier Liner

An up-close look at the vapor barrier. Our product has 7 layers of a heavy, thick, 20-mil, high density polyethylene material that is puncture resistant.

Condensation

You can see condensation dripping off of the air duct. This is why encapsulation and a dehumidifier is important.
