Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: CleanSpace Floor and Walls in Crawl Space
Dave N. of Farina, Illinois was looking for a way in better insulate his crawl space to reduce his energy bills. He had made many attempts to insulate the space himself, isolating it from the earth using various spray foams and liners, yet nothing had worked. Dave called Woods Basement Systems to fix his insulation problem.
Foremen Micheal Rebenstorff installed a CleanSpace Liner to the floors and walls of William's crawl space. The CleanSpace Liner contains an antimicrobial material, which prevents mold growth on the liner. At 20 mils thick, the liner seals the crawl space from the earth, reducing the amount of energy it takes to cool and heat the home. Dave can now enjoy a cleaner crawl space, and a lower energy bill.
SaniDry Sedona
Our SaniDry Sedona was also installed to keep moisture out of the air of the crawl space.
Sealing from the Earth
CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner, similar to a pool liner, that can be fitted in your crawl space to completely seal off your home from the earth.
Before Sealing
Moisture comes from two sources: the ground and the outdoor air. Exposed earth contributes a lot of water vapor into the crawl space air. The earth is damp, and as that damp soil dries beneath the house, the water vapor moves upward.
Bad Support
This crawl space was unsupported, causing the floors above to sag.
