Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Stopping Leaks with CleanSpace™

This home in Pontoon Beach, IL. was experiencing heavy leaking through the cracks that had appeard in the foundation walls as well as from the gap between the wall and the floor.    To stop these leaks, the homeowners needed a perimeter drainage system and vapor barrier along the walls. Installer Dave G. from Woods Basement Systems was able to help the homeowners by installing WaterGuard™ and CleanSpace™ to combat these leaks.   WaterGuard™ would collect any water that leaked in from below ground as well as any water collected by the CleanSpace™ system. This water would then be directed to the sump pump to be removed from the home. WaterGuard™ is installed just beneath the floor, so it will be able to collect water before it rises into the basement. It also has an extension that reaches up the wall so that it can collect any water that drips down the face of the wall before it can pool up on the ground.    While WaterGuard™ would collect water from the leaks in the walls, it could not prevent those same leaks from getting things on or near the wall wet. That's why Dave G. also installed CleanSpace™ wall mounts around the foundation walls where the leaks were present. CleanSpace™ is a tear-proof liner that will totally block any water from passing through its surface. Once CleanSpace™ is permanently fastened to the wall, any leaks on the back side are captured and directed down into the WaterGuard™ drainage system and the inside of the wall will be kept totally dry. As an added perk, CleanSpace™ also features an anti-microbial layer that blocks mold growth across its surface.    Once CleanSpace™ is tied into the WaterGuard™ system these leaky walls will be a concern of the past for these homeowners as all the water will be directed out of site and out of the home.
