Sections of CleanSpace
We had a large yard space to work with at this job in Staunton, IL to lay out our CleanSpace in sections needed for the crawl space.
Condensation on the Crawl Space Ductwork
As humid air enters the crawl space condensations occurs on the cool duct work. It was the month July for this installation.
Another Ductwork with Condensation
This is another duct work run that has condensation appearing on it in the crawl space in Staunton, IL.
Installed in Sections
As the CleanSpace Crawl Space vapor barrier is installed in section, we do it so leaks will not occur. Each section is layered like shingles on a roof.
Vapor Barrier Going Up the Crawl Space Wall
Our CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier is extended up the crawl space wall.
Crawl Space Sump Pump
In the lowest corner of the crawl space the sump pump is installed so water leaking into the crawl space can be pumped to the exterior and away from the home.

Crawl Space Sump Pump
The virtually air tight crawl space sump pump lid is not installed yet. I comes in two parts for easier access to the sump pump if needed. Plus the crawl space sump pump lid has a few other features.

The Green Ball
This photo shows the radon approved drain installed in the sump pump lid so condensation lines from a dehumidifier can properly drain while in the crawl space.
Special Space Next to the Drain
Next to the drain is a space for the water alarm for a plumbing leak.
Special Path for the Plumbing Leak in a Crawl Space
Around both the drain and the plumbing alarm is a ridge so surface water from a plumbing leak must enter the drain VIA the pathway set at the crawl space water alarm. The opening to the drain is on the alarm side of the drain.
Vapor Barrier on Crawl Space Support Columns
Often the crawl space support columns are concrete block or pour concrete. In either case moisture from the wet dirt in a crawl space is absorbed up the concrete and evaporates into the crawl space. We wrap the columns to control the moisture from escaping from the concrete.
Another finished Photo
Another finished view of the CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier. The bottom thickness of the CleanSpace that covers the ground is 20mil.
