Susceptible Crawl Space
This crawl space was so dirty and wet that the homeowner never wanted to look at his crawl space. He decided it was finally time to clean up the space and make sure that it was waterproofed and safe.
Clean Out
The first step to this long project was to clean up the messy space. Some areas of the crawl space had a tarp that was thrown away along with debris and chunks of cement.
SmartPipe Line
Next, the team of installers made room for the SmartPipe line that would collect water leaks. This pipe is connected to the crawl space sump pump to ensure all water leaks are kept outside.
CleanSpace Encapsulation System
The next step was to install the new CleanSpace encapsulation system. Just look at the difference this beautiful system makes! CleanSpace is made out of an inorganic material so that it will repel water, mold, critters, debris, and more.
UltraSump Sump Pump
Remember the SmartPipe line? To work with the SmartPipe, this UltraSump sump pump will collect all water that is captured by the line and will pump it back outside. This dependable pump is designed for a crawl space with the awareness that a homeowner doesn't often check their crawl spaces. An UltraSump will alert a homeowner if action is needed and it also contains a battery-operated backup pump.
SaniDry Dehumidifier
Next to the UltraSump is the crawl space's new dehumidifier. The SaniDry dehumidifier will keep the crawl space air safe and dry. The air that is breathed in throughout the house first enters through the crawl space (or the lowest floor in the house), so this was a vital product.
Discharge Lines
The waterproofing didn't stop on the inside! Team Woods also installed discharge lines to attach them to the UltraSump sump pump.
Away from the house
Discharge lines are what carry the water that was pumped out by the sump pump into the yard. Discharge lies are a crucial product because if a discharge line is short and not far into the yard, this could risk the water leaking back into the crawl space.
IceGuards
Attached to the discharge lines are IceGuards. IceGuards are significant to have as an attachment onto the discharge lines to prevent the lines from freezing or clogging. If a line backs up, that would push water back into the crawl space.
Job Complete
To finish off the project, the discharge lines are covered back up with grass to leave the yard looking just as it did before.
