Standing Water
This homeowner had struggled with keeping water out of his crawl space for years. He needed a solution that would keep water out which would improve the safety of the home. A humid and water-filled crawl space can lead to a domino effect of issues that led to costly and extensive repairs.
Muddy Floor
Water plus a dirt floor equals a messy space! Water also brings in unwanted bugs and critters into the home.
Covered Floor
The previous images of the crawl space were taken before the homeowner took action against the water leaks. He decided to lay down tarp to protect the floor, but this tarp failed to block out harmful outer elements.
Water Stained Walls
Here is a close-up of the water stained walls in the musty crawl space.
Mold & Mud
Laying tarp on the crawl space floor was only a temporary solution to the water damage issue at hand. Unfortunately, overtime mud and mold had developed on top of the tarp.
Drainage Matting
Team Woods looked over the space and determined that the best way to protect this crawl space was by installing a CleanSpace vapor barrier system. Before the new system was installed the team had to rip up the old tarp and lay down drainage matting onto the dirt floor.
CleanSpace
Here you can see the beautiful CleanSpace encapsulation system installed! This inorganic system completely seals the crawl space and leaves the area looking fresh and clean.
Sump Pump
Along with the CleanSpace, an UltraSump sump pump was installed into the crawl space to pump out pesky water leaks. Not that this pump is in place, this crawl space will be able to defend itself against water damage.
SmartJacks
If you remembered from the before images, this crawl space had cement blocks to support the crawl space. Team Woods replaced those blocks with SmartJacks to support the crawl space safely.
Outside Pretection
To seal the crawl space from the outside, a new vent cover was placed over the vent to prevent outer elements like water and critters from sneaking in.
