Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: CleanSpace Seals Wet Vienna, IL Crawl Space from Harm
Wayne of Vienna, Illinois reached out to Woods Basement Systems to look over his crawl space after he noticed that water had leaked inside. System design specialist, Blake R., looked over the area and saw that the tarp that the homeowner currently had wasn't keeping out water leaks. Blake recommended installing a CleanSpace vapor barrier system onto the walls and floor to completely seal the crawl space from water damage.
A CleanSpace vapor barrier system is unlike any other because this system is made out of inorganic materials. This means that if water were to leak inside, no mold would be able to develop. The barrier system will also keep out water leaks by repelling the water.
Head foreman on the job, Chris S., worked along with this team to install the CleanSpace system onto the walls and floor of the crawl space. Now that the CleanSpace vapor barrier has been installed into this previously wet and musty crawl space, Wayne now can enjoy his home again!
Muddy Crawl Space
This crawl space had no means of protection against water leaks besides the black tarp. Unfortunately this tarp didn't help protect the crawl space against water damage. Throughout the crawl space, water damage was found on the walls and mud was formed on the floor.
Ready for Waterproofing
This homeowner quickly called Team Woods to waterproof her crawl space and potect it from possible damage.
Tarp
Team Woods' system design specialist, Blake R., recommended installing a CleanSpace encapsulation system to serve as a vapor barrier. This black tarp allowed water to come inside and was susceptible to mold development.
Sump Pump
Pictured is the crawl space's sump pump system that is used to pump out water leaks. The new CleanSpace vapor barrier system will work with this sump pump to direct water towards the pump system.
Vent Cover
To prevent water from leaking inside, a vent cover was placed on the crawl space vent to keep water outside.
