This crawl space in Du Bois, Illinois needed protecting from the outer elements and a fresh, new look. Team Woods solved these issues by installing a CleanSpace vapor barrier system onto the floor and walls to protect the crawl space. This crawl space also had waterproofing products on the exterior of the home to prevent water from entering back into the crawl space.

Dirty Crawl Space

The fallen insulation indicated that the crawl space had experienced water leaks. Water leaks not only affect the structure of the foundation, but it also can damage the insulation. The humid air contains moisture, and this moisture clings to the insulation, causing it to fall.

CleanSpace Needs Restored

This homeowner had CleanSpace installed in the crawl space, but this system wasn't installed correctly. Team Woods installed a new CleanSpace vapor barrier system into the area to seal the room from water damage that could transcend into structural damage.

Sealing Outside

To waterproof on the outside, a new sealed vent cover was installed on top of the crawl space vent. A vent cover will prevent water from leaking into the crawl space through the vent.

New Discharge Line Extension

An IceGuard was installed on the discharge line to prevent the line from clogging or freezing. IceGuards are crucial to keep the line from backing up and pumping back into the crawl space.
