Wet Concrete Floor in a Crawl Space
The water on top of the concrete floor in this crawl space is easily seen. With a dirt crawl space floor the water is there in the soil but not so easily seen.
SmartJACKS™
To help level the sagging floor, we installed an "I" beam with a row of our adjustable galvanized SmartJACKS™. Controlling the moisture getting into this crawl space will help stop the woods from deteriorating and sagging again.
Evaporation and Condensation
As the moisture in any crawl space evaporates, it will condensate on the cooler wood or duct work and drip back into the crawl space and keep the cycle going for years.
Brown Dimpled Sheeting
The concrete floor is covered with a dimpled sheeting so the CleanSPACE™ vapor barrier will not rub and tear as if it were installed right over the concrete floor. The interior support walls are all covered with the white CleanSPACE™ too to control all areas of the crawl space that may trap and hold moisture.
Insulated Crawl Space Walls
The complete encapsulation system included SilverGLO™ insulated panels for the exterior crawl space walls. This thermal break works perfectly in a crawl space and can be air sealed with our CleanSPACE™ vapor barrier too. All the walls are covered first and then the floor section is installed and sealed to the wall material.
