Water gets into a crawl space by pooling up from the dirt floor, leaking in from a foundation crack or like a basement at the seam where the foundation wall and footing meet.
Wall and Floor Vapor Barriers
The floor of the crawl space has a dimpled mat rolled out over the entire surface and the walls are covered with a dense vapor barrier.
Floor Vapor Barrier
The blue part of the liner has anti-microbial on it so the material does not support mold growth. Also, the blue goes down facing the soil and is easier to correctly installed knowing that the blue goes down and not facing up.
Sealing the Floor to the Wall
Once the floor mat is in place and the wall sealed, the CleanSPACE™ floor liner is rolled out across the floor over the matting. The blue edge seen will go up the wall slightly and be sealed to the material already attached to the crawl space foundation wall.

With the outside elements unable to get into the interior of this crawl space and then be drawn up and into the living space, this home is healthier and more comfortable. The moisture evaporating and condensing on the duct work has stopped and that saves on the power bill too.
