Drainage Matting
The team already began installing the CleanSpace® vapor barrier on the wall in this particular area of the crawlspace. As seen, the brown drainage matting has also been laid down, which has small dimples on the underside to allow air to circulate underneath and provide increased protection from moisture from the ground below.
Moisture
As seen, moisture collected on the underside of the ductwork. This condsensation is not a good thing, as it shows how humid it is in the crawlspace, and how little the crawlspace is protected from collecting moisture and dampness.
CleanSpace® and ThermalDry™ Barriers
The CleanSpace® vapor barrier and the ThermalDry™ thermal break have been installed, and will help with controlling the moisture entering the crawlspace. The thermal break on the walls will help keep the cold air out in the winter and hot air out in the summer, making sure the crawlspace maintains an acceptable temperature.
CleanSpace® and ThermalDry™
Seen here is the vapor barrier and thermal break again.
CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier
This split-level home has two different crawlspace with two different heights. The larger of the two only had CleanSpace® installed, which will help control the moisture entering the crawlspace.
