Foundation Crack Around Doorway in Farmington
This is a crack around a doorway, which was caused by the support beam failing in the crawlspace. When the support failed, the home slowly "sank", causing the crack around the doorways and around the home's foundation.
More Cracks
The cracks will start out small, around doorways or at the base of a wall, but when the problem gets worse, the cracks will enlarge and noticeable separation will happen.
Crawlspace Area
This is the work area needing the SmartJack XT. The support beam has thick supports underneath it, but it is not enough to support the home. We will manually drill holes to insert metal tubes to aid in supporting the existing beam, and we will install a meat beam to strengthen the support.
Installing Metal Tubes
Here we have implanted a few metal tubes to hold up the support beam This will give the existing wood beam extra support to hold up the house. We also raised the house up to its original position.
Additional Beam Installed
After we give the home the support it needs from the original wood beam, we installed a metal beam and supported it, which ensures the home will not receive any more damage caused by a failing support beam.
